Join our TeamAbout this opportunity:Ericsson’s Government and Policy Advocacy team is focused on enhancing Ericsson’s insight, access, and influence with policymakers in Japan. Our policy issues are centered on our business interests – wide-ranging, critical to customers, and at the heart of progress for society. We strive to influence policy early in its development and seed new policy ideas that support our company’s strategy and business objectives.This role requires expertise in technology policy, a strong understanding of the policymaking process, and the external political and geopolitical context to help enable a telecommunications-friendly policy regime.What You Will DoSupport the preparation and execution of advocacy activity on Ericsson’s business and policy priorities with government stakeholders.Draft, with support, verbal and written internal briefing materials to a high standard for local, regional, and global Ericsson executives.Assess and anticipate key public policy matters and support preparations for external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives.Develop the capability to distill and effectively communicate the significance of policy changes on Ericsson’s commercial interests in Japan.What You Will BringA Bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred, ideally in a relevant discipline (e.g., Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Technology, Science, or Engineering).8 years of experience in government or corporate public policy, preferably in the technology industry and with expertise in digital policy.Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in both Japanese and English, including the ability to engage comfortably at senior corporate and political levels.Language proficiency: Native Japanese and professional EnglishWhy join Ericsson?At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
