Location: Charlottesville, VA — Onsite preferred, remote possibleSalary: Up to $120,000.00 per yearJob Type: Direct HireAbout The RoleWe’re seeking a highly skilled Manager of HR & Compliance to lead and develop key HR functions across multiple companies and states. The ideal candidate is experienced, confident, and capable of managing complex compliance, benefits, and employee relations matters with professionalism and integrity.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all aspects of onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relationsHandle employment-related legal disputes and ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment lawsSet up and formalize employee policies, benefits packages, and 401(k)/healthcare programsSupport HR operations for multiple affiliated companies and employees across various states and countriesManage relationships with external vendors, benefits providers, and compliance partnersCoordinate and manage physical mail and documentation related to HR and compliance functionsProvide strategic HR guidance and serve as a trusted advisor to company leadershipQualifications:Proven experience in Human Resources and Compliance management (multi-state and international exposure preferred)Strong understanding of employment law across multiple U.S. statesDemonstrated success in benefits setup and administration (healthcare, 401k, policies, etc.)Exceptional organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and a thick skinComfortable working in a dynamic, multi-entity environmentWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
