Participants will gain valuable experience under professional mentorship and supervision, helping them build essential workplace competencies and technical skills to enhance their employability in both public and private sectors.Available Internship OpportunitiesDepartment Qualification Required Duration Monthly Stipend Budget and Treasury Office National Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field 24 Months R4,000 Planning and Development National Diploma/Degree in Town and Regional Planning 24 Months R4,000 Technical Services National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering 24 Months R4,000 Community Services National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Management 24 Months R4,000 Corporate Services National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Office Management 24 Months R4,000 Office of the Municipal Manager National Diploma/Degree in Internal Auditing or Risk Management 24 Months R4,000Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this internship programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:Must be a South African citizen residing within the Mandeni Local Municipality area.Must be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 35.Must hold a relevant National Diploma or Degree from a recognised tertiary institution.Must not have participated in any internship programme before.Must submit a comprehensive CV and certified copies of qualifications and ID (not older than 3 months).Must clearly indicate the department they are applying for.Key ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will:Gain hands-on training and exposure in their chosen field.Learn about municipal governance, service delivery, and operations.Work closely with experienced officials and supervisors.Participate in structured learning, performance evaluations, and mentorship activities.How To ApplyApplicants must submit their applications in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Internship Programme 2025”, which should include:A cover letter specifying the preferred department.A detailed CV with contact details.Certified copies of:Academic qualificationsSouth African IDProof of residencePostal AddressThe Municipal ManagerMandeni Local MunicipalityP.O.
