We design and deliver propulsion and defense systems that solve the most urgent and critical national security demands.The Manufacturing Engineer will join the Operations Team, leading development manufacturing efforts on next-generation products and systems in aerospace and defense. The ideal candidate will be passionate about process improvement, scalability, and influencing product development. Hands-on experience in Manufacturing environments, including technical expertise in assembly, integration, and test of complex products is required.This position is an in-person role!ResponsibilitiesSupport manufacturing process development and champion industry best practicesDrive Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles throughout product lifecycleAccelerate manufacturing capabilities with consideration for quality, capacity, scalability, ergonomics, and automationImplement continuous improvement in collaboration with the design engineering, quality, and build techniciansTake a hands-on role in the manufacturing process, including prototype builds, documenting work instructions, designing and implementing tooling, and performing RCCA rework as requiredData review and disposition of hardware and assembliesOwn manufacturing BOMs, routings, process planning, and process change managementDevelop, publish, and maintain manufacturing and process specifications appropriate for product maturity and design phase of the programSupport AI&T infrastructure and growth with a focus on manufacturing readiness Preferred SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering. 1 - 3+ years experience working in design or manufacturing of aerospace hardwareExperience with tool design and CAD software (NX, Creo)Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ERP systemsExperience developing work instructions and process specificationsHands-on experience with assembly and test Hands-on experience in production manufacturing environmentsExperience with inspection methods, common inspection tools, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Transformation, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production SystemsExperience with material processes including welding, brazing, anodizing, plating, heat treating, forging, casting, machining, metal 3D printingExperience with satellite bus, payload, and/or subsystem development lifecycleFamiliarity with hypergolic and other storable propellantsExperience with non-destructive inspection (e.g. fluorescent penetrant inspection, radiography, ultrasonic, etc.) Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $90,000- $120,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we are evaluating individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
