Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager

Job PurposeTo lead and manage engineering projects that support the technical development and expansion of our Vietnam site, focusing on complex and innovative initiatives. This includes overseeing the execution and delivery of engineering solutions by coordinating internal cross-functional teams, managing external contractors, and ensuring alignment with project goals. The Project Engineer will hold overall responsibility for the successful execution of assigned projects from concept through to completion.Key AccountabilitiesProject Delivery & Technical OversightTake full ownership for the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring all equipment installations and associated activities meet technical, safety, and operational requirements.Project Planning & ExecutionLead the execution of engineering tasks within agreed timelines and budgets, proactively reporting progress, risks, and deviations to the Head of Engineering Projects.Engineering ManagementOversee day-to-day engineering activities across assigned projects, ensuring timely resolution of technical and project-related issues.Compliance & Technical GovernanceEnsure all engineering work adheres to relevant technical standards, project procedures, and regulatory requirements.Change & Interface ManagementCoordinate interface activities across disciplines and manage change control processes to minimize project risk and disruption.Design & Safety AssuranceActively participate in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, and other safety-critical evaluations to ensure robust and safe engineering solutions.Project Support & EscalationProvide technical and project execution support to the Head of Engineering Projects, contributing to the effective and timely delivery of all stages of the project lifecycle.Stakeholder EngagementLead regular project reviews with internal and external stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.Commissioning & HandoverSupport operational teams during commissioning phases, including the identification and resolution of snagging items to ensure a smooth handover.Project Close-outEnsure projects are formally closed out in compliance with company procedures, including documentation, lessons learned, and financial reconciliation.Regulatory & HSE ComplianceEnforce compliance with statutory regulations, internal engineering standards, and Health & Safety policies throughout the project lifecycle.HSE LeadershipChampion a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture by exemplifying HSE principles and driving continuous improvement.Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate with fellow project managers across the group to share best practices and ensure consistent project execution across the engineering portfolio.QualificationsDegree/HND in an engineering related subject with good first-hand knowledge of project environment.KnowledgeKnowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.Practical knowledge of OHSE & Environmental legislation.Good technical knowledge and understanding.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of proven experience in engineering and project delivery, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent project workstreams, balancing priorities across scope, time, and budget.SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in various forms to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to multitask and manage/reprioritize a complex diary with multiple simultaneous activities.Contact Information:trinh.nguyen@manpower.com.vn0949469617
