Job DetailsDescriptionThe Manufacturing Manager is responsible for ensuring Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Cost (S, Q, D, C) performance across the Cambridge manufacturing operations. This role is accountable for leading production execution in alignment with the Mirion Factory Development System (MFDS)—building a culture of disciplined daily management, safe execution to plan, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through structured problem-solving, workforce flexibility via cross-training, and proactive coordination with Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet customer expectations while strengthening the site’s capability and resilience.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipLead daily manufacturing operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance targets.Translate the Master Production Schedule into daily production priorities, ensuring alignment of resources, materials, and capacity.Lead the site’s tiered daily management system, driving accountability, escalation, and problem-solving at each level.Maintain a culture of safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all work processes.Performance & Problem SolvingIdentify and manage bottlenecks, constraints, and capacity imbalances, implementing countermeasures through structured root-cause analysis.Partner with cross-functional teams to remove barriers that prevent adherence to schedule or customer commitments.Monitor and report performance against key metrics (S, Q, D, C), leveraging data to make informed decisions and drive corrective action.People Development & EngagementBuild workforce flexibility and capability through systematic cross-training and skills matrix management.Coach and develop frontline leaders and operators to strengthen daily problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.Foster an environment of ownership, accountability, and engagement aligned with MFDS principles.Continuous ImprovementChampion MFDS standards in visual management, standardized work, and leader standard work.Drive kaizen events and structured improvement activities focused on eliminating waste, improving flow, and stabilizing processes.Partner with Engineering and Quality to ensure manufacturing processes are robust, capable, and continuously improved.Qualifications And RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, ideally within a lean/continuous improvement culture.Proven experience managing daily production operations tied to a formal master schedule.Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Production System methodologies (e.g., Tiered Daily Management, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Visual Controls).Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Mirion Technologies (IST Canada) ULC is in compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
