This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about marine ecosystems and enjoys contributing to a variety of projects such as environmental assessments, habitat restoration initiatives, and marine baseline studies.In This Role, You Will:Lead or support marine biology-related fieldwork and environmental impact assessments.Plan and conduct marine field surveys including species inventories, habitat mapping, and water quality sampling.Analyze biological and environmental data to support technical reports, permitting applications, and client recommendations.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Coordinate project deliverables, budgets, and schedules in alignment with client and regulatory expectations.Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant legislation including the Fisheries Act, Water Sustainability Act, and associated permitting processes in BC.What You Bring:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline (M.Sc. is preferred).Registered (or eligible) as a Professional Biologist (RPBio) in British Columbia.Minimum of 8 years’ related experience, ideally within environmental consulting.Hands-on experience with marine construction or dredging monitoring, sediment sampling, underwater video or ROV surveys, intertidal/subtidal assessments, and marine mammal observation.Proven ability to develop and lead technical reports and plans required for environmental permits or compliance, such as:Aquatic impact assessmentsHabitat offsetting and monitoring plansEnvironmental protection/management plansConstruction monitoring documentationStrong technical writing and communication skills.Experience with marine field methods including diving (scientific diving certification is an asset), remote sensing, and/or ROV technology.Excellent project management and leadership capabilities.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field assignments
