The team is responsible for line selection, creating pricing, overseeing the local P&L and driving the go-to-market strategy in the U.S. The Marketing Associate for the Action Figure business. This category features a portfolio of powerhouse brands including Disney, Jurassic, WWE, etc.The Opportunity:The Marketing Associate will support the Senior Manager of US Marketing with executing the go-to-market strategies of several product lines including DC Comics and Minecraft. Provide POS insights and support licensor communication with market performance analysis. Help to coordinate and align Mattel go-to-market activations, including media support, account alignment and cross-functional communication.What Your Impact Will BeAnalyze marketing programs to develop recommendations for optimizationSupport day-to-day marketing activities, including local insights collection and synthesis of performance of brand/productsAssist with overall execution of key marketing programs on any assigned brandsDrive marketing execution with a cross-functional team Assist in managing brand activation to commercial financial targetsContribute to the planning and activation of brand campaigns in the US market, including pricing, placement and promotion leversWork on a diverse range of business issues with varying scope using available reference materials and established precedents as assignedAssist with the management of the P&L for the portfolio – update line items, quota inputs, pricing scenarios, etc.Perform in-depth POS analysis on key items/segments by utilizing various data sourcesConduct competitive analysis on new product launchesWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field2-3 years’ related work experienceStrong quantitative analysis skills, critical thinking and financial knowledgeFundamental understanding of marketing principles and businessDemonstrated strong team playerIntermediate Microsoft Excel and Power point skillsPossess a positive ‘can do’ attitudeTenacious, curious and eager to grow personally and professionallyAbility to find creative solutions to problems as they ariseAble to work within timelines for brand analyses and reporting projectsComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentExperience in category management, trade or brand marketing, space planning, consumer research, sales and/or finance is a PLUSDemonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
