About Our ClientOur client is a leading Romanian omnichannel retailer in electronics, home-appliances, IT & multimedia. They operate a national store network plus a powerful online platform. They emphasise making technology accessible to all customers, while integrating digital and physical retail experiences. They have a strong foundation in retail, and the DIY / home improvement category is an established part of their offering.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute 12- and 36-month marketing roadmaps for the DIY/home-improvement category.Conduct consumer research and segmentation to identify DIY behaviours, triggers and pain-points.Define positioning, messaging and value propositions for homeowners, hobbyists and trade users in the DIY space.Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across digital, social, influencer, POS, events and in-store channels.Collaborate with merchandise/product teams on assortments, bundling, pricing and launches specific to DIY/home-improvement.Leverage an omnichannel retail model (online + in-store, click-&-collect, demo/workshop zones) to maximise reach and conversion.Build and manage CRM and loyalty programmes to increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.Set and monitor KPIs (category revenue growth, traffic uplift, online conversion, new-customer acquisition, repeat rate) and report on performance.Manage the marketing budget for the category and optimise spend for maximum impact.Lead a small team of marketing specialists and handle external agencies and vendors.Stay current with market trends in DIY/home-improvement (tools, smart-home, renovation, garden) and track competitor activity.Requirements8-10 years of marketing experience, including at least 3-5 years in DIY, home-improvement, tools, building supplies or a related retail category.Proven track record of growing a category in a retail or omnichannel environment.Experience executing integrated marketing across digital, physical stores and events.Strong understanding of consumer journeys, segmentation and behaviour in DIY/home-improvement contexts.Data-driven mindset: ability to set KPIs, analyse results and adjust tactics.Leadership experience: managing a team, working cross-functionally, collaborating with agencies and vendors.Fluency in Romanian and English (written and spoken).Experience with CRM/loyalty programmes, omnichannel retail journeys and budget management.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field; advanced qualification (MBA or similar) is a plus.
