Job Description

Job Title: Material Management EngineerOverview: The main responsibility is to manage all material deliveries, storage, and issuance.Detailed Tasks Manage the warehouse teamManage the team of storekeepers, warehouse assistants, material controllers.Prepare team schedule.Conduct daily team briefing, and weekly meetingsPrepare team action plans in Excel. Preparation worksManage the preparation of the warehouses and yards.Ensure all storage facilities are operational, secured, and safe (barricaded, vermin-free, safety signage, firefighting, CCTV, protected against thefts, etc).Source external warehouses, yards, equipment rental, etcSource supplier for unloading (crane, forklifts, trucks, etc)Update daily the Supplier documentation tracker. Coordinate with the Site team (QCs and Supervisors) to ensure all storage and handling manuals, packing lists are available and acceptable.Coordinate and review supplier packing lists prior to ‘Release for shipment’.Estimate storage areas (m2 and m3) for all materials. Prepare storage mapping layouts.Estimate delivery projections to assess the workload: required manpower, required unloading and handling equipment, etc.Anticipate material delivery and offloading (arrange crane, manpower, etc).Prepare list of tools required for warehouse and yards.Anticipate and plan upcoming deliveries. Deliveries & inspectionsCoordinate with Logistics, Suppliers, Civil partner, and Storekeepers to prepare deliveries at Site.Coordinate with Truck drivers for shipment schedule.Coordinate with external warehouses as necessary.Manage unloading activities and storage of materials. Assist Storekeepers as required.Witness all deliveries, counter check packing lists and delivery receipts.Take photos of deliveries (before, during, and after), truck (arrival and departure) unloading, container, crate, and empty container with dates/time and save on SharePoint.Assist in on-hands material deliveries and inspections (crate opening, closing, handling of materials, etc). PreservationEnsure proper storage, security, and preservation of all equipment, bulk materials, and consumables.Conduct regular rounds or warehouse, external warehouses, yards, stores, laydown areas.Update tracker on a weekly basis. Material issuance & handoverPrepare Material Handover for subcontractors.Secure approval from subcontractors and save reports.Prepare Tool handover to internal staff. Monitoring of warehousing documentationReview weekly the warehousing documentation (material tracker, MRF, etc). Feedback any deviations to team Leader and /or Manager.Conduct weekly inspections in warehouse and yards to ensure proper storage, labelling, safety, etc. Identify any deviations and implement corrective / preventive actions.Supervise material inventory. ReportingPrepare weekly reports (% of material delivered, storage areas allocation, photos records, etc).Update SharePoint folders on a weekly basis.Provide Lesson Learner (REX) reports. HSE & EthicsFollowed the HSE and Ethics policy.Qualifications And RequirementsBachelor’s degree graduate5 to 8 years’ experience in Warehouse and yard management in the Construction industry.Experience in the water/wastewater treatment sector is a plusAble to Supervise warehouse teamMeticulous and detail orientedHighly skilled on ExcelGood communication (written and verbal), reporting and presentation skills.Capable of working under minimal supervision and able to deliver outputs with good quality.Has strong sense of ownership in deliverable preparationGood team playerAble to work under pressureFocused and goal-oriented
