Job Description

MIRK Inc., a reputable family-owned enterprise established in 1972, is currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various aerial devices and equipment utilized in the utility industry, including bucket trucks, diggers, and cranes. This role necessitates a strong commitment to ensuring the functionality and reliability of machinery, engines, and hydraulic systems. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in working with an array of tools and machinery while adhering to all safety protocols. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections on equipment, engines, and transmissions, along with conducting diagnostic tests to identify functionality issuesExecute repairs as neededTroubleshoot reported problems and implement timely resolutionsClean and apply lubricants to various machinery componentsConduct DOT annual inspections as requiredRequirementsExcellent communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesA high school diploma is preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is advantageousProven experience as a MechanicDemonstrated ability to maintain a solid attendance recordA robust background in hydraulics and electrical systems is preferredWelding experience is a plusA current CDL is preferred, but not requiredAbility to routinely lift or carry up to 50 poundsBenefitsAfter 90 days the following benefits are provided:Health Care Plan Retirement Plan (401k w/ company match)Paid HolidaysPaid Time Off UniformsAnnual Tool Allowance Educational Reimbursement availableProfit SharingWe offer flexible scheduling.
