The Mechanical Assembler will work from diagrams and drawing and make initial layouts. The ideal candidate must be able to read and understand engineering, processes, assembly, and traveler documentation.Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditionsProvide feedback to Engineering on assembly/test discrepancies, drawing errors, quality errors, etc., to preclude recurrencePractices and emphasizes values and a culture that places the highest value on workplace safety, housekeeping, and environmental complianceDevelops relationships with peer groups that foster teamwork and unity of purposeAssemble small to medium partsConnector and harness installationUse of various hand tools and torque toolsCleaning, bonding, measuringRequired Skills & Abilities:Minimum of 4 years of experienceKnowledge and understanding of IPC and Mil standardsKnowledge and understanding of ISO and AS controls and regulationsExperience with small to medium partsHighly skilled at small parts assembly operationsKnowledge and understanding of ESD proceduresKnowledge in the use of epoxies and bonding materialsStrong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organizationSelf-motivated with the ability to motivate and leadAbility to work in a fast paced environmentSense of ownership and responsibilityAdditional QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentSkilled with all types of hand tools and micro-toolsAbility to use and assemble under a microscopePhysical Demands, Working and Environmental Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
