Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop mechanical components and structures for power and distribution transformers.Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).Perform design calculations for tank structure, cooling system, lifting lugs, and foundation parts.Ensure mechanical designs meet international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI).Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure proper integration between mechanical and electrical systems.Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and prototype evaluations.Support manufacturing by providing technical guidance and resolving production-related issues.Participate in cost reduction and product optimization initiatives.Review and analyze customer specifications and technical requirements.Support testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of transformer components when required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in transformer or heavy electrical equipment manufacturing.Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes.Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
