Mechanical Design Engineer

IC Resources has partnered with a global design service who require a Mechanical Design contractor for an initial 1 year assignment. This will be based in the Greater Frankfurt area, 5 days a week, onsite.ResponsibilitiesLead full lifecycle mechanical product development: design, prototype, test, verify, and implementDesign mechanical systems and components meeting performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory requirementsPerform design verification, risk assessment, and mitigation (DV plans, FMEA, reliability testing)Conduct VAVE and cost-out activities: should-cost analysis, teardown, benchmarking, and Pareto analysisSupport product verification and certification (UL, FDA, CSA, CE)Collaborate with global engineering teams, including offshore development centersContribute to product sustenance, design changes, and roadmap alignmentTechnical RequirementsHands-on experience with laboratory equipment, appliances, or temperature/pressure-controlled systemsStrong fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, and heat transferExperience with refrigeration systems (hydrocarbon/natural refrigerants preferred)Solid knowledge of technical risk analysis, design verification, and safety regulations for laboratory equipmentProficiency in project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, quality)If you are interested in this contract and would like further information then please contact Max Martin at IC Resources.
