As the Mechanical Designer you will become a key partner in our success!More Tasks And ResponsibilitiesDesign work and quality based on design guidelines and manager’s and team leader’sguidanceDesign schedules (general responsibility of commonly agreed schedule and regular reportingto team leader and other relevant persons)Cooperation with staff in hydraulic and electric design as well as strength analystsChecking of drawings for both the team colleague and design partnerResponsibility to deliver latest drawings to all relevant team members as needed (CM, QC,PR, etc.)Producing of technical material according to Design GuidanceSupporting tendering for rework & guarantee matters concerning designProduce not only Hatch Cover, but also container Lashing Construction(including FixedFitting/offset plans, cell guide, deck stanchion and lashing bridgeParticipate product development projects when agreedReporting directly to the Team Leader, CSS (Cargo Stowage Securing) Design. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Shanghai, China.What You’ll Need To SucceedWe are looking for a person with basic knowledge of machinery and mechanics, and the ability to work with CAD software, e,g, Solidworks. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills.Ideally you haveB. Sc. or M. Sc. of EngineeringWork on Marine or ship building for more than 5 yearsGood communication and team working skillsTechnical approachKnowledge of steel structure designKnowledge of basic strength calculation (details)Knowledge on 3D design tools, e.g. SolidworksFluent in both written and spoken EnglishWhy MacGregor?Our people are behind every success.
