Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job DutiesEngineers may lead new mechanical component design, conduct DFMEA and DVP & R, execute DVP, and localization projects etc. following product realization process. Always chase low cost & robust design and provide engineering support for component re-sourcing and localization, also support internal & external customers as a component expert.The key role of this engineering position is toDesign mechanical components to meet product engineering target & customer requirement.Lead components localization projects from engineering side.Model design and drawing release.Prepare and chair design review meeting with local and global engineering team.Conduct DFMEA, work out DVP & R (design verification plan & report), execute DVP on time as project plan.Collaborate with SDE to make APQP process completely followed up for component development.Lead NPI and CPI issues to be fixed.Chase low-cost design and lead engineering validation for component re-sourcing & localizationAdvise and answer engineering questions which come from cross function team and customers, high frequent collaboration teams include SDE, Buyer, Application Engineer, Product Team and Sales & Marketing.Support machines build and resolve the manufacturing issues.Suppliers visit to help with supplier process improvement.Other work assigned by clients or managers.Background/ExperienceBachelor’s degree or above in Engine/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.Mechanical Component engineering design & development experience.Demonstrated proficiency in Creo or other model and drawing design assistance system.Demonstrated proficiency in APQP, FMEA, BIQ, Ishikawa, 5why etc. quality tools.Good at multitasking optimizing and delivering desired result under challenging requirement of quality, cost & timeline.Have good English reading, writing and speaking skills.Good team collaboration and communication skillsHigh customer focusing & high urgency sense to customer requirement.Willing to travel frequently (10% of year, max)Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office software (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)Engine component design & development experience will be a plus.Posting DatesNovember 14, 2025 - November 29, 2025Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
