They’re building a passionate, forward-thinking team committed to making a positive difference in the sector.ResponsibilitiesTake the lead on designing and developing mechanical components and subsystems for automation projectsEnsure mechanical designs align with functional requirements and performance goalsIdentify and resolve mechanical issues within existing systems to maintain reliability and efficiencyCollaborate with electrical, software, and operations teams to integrate and refine system functionalityProvide technical guidance and day-to-day support to junior engineersEncourage knowledge sharing and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culturePlay an active role in improving engineering processes, including design standards, tools, and workflowsSupport efforts to streamline the development lifecycle and enhance product qualityRequirements2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience designing and building mechanical systems for automation and handling of small componentsFamiliarity with high-speed automated systems for material transferProficient in SolidWorks for mechanical designDesirable ExperienceBackground in designing durable, high-precision systemExperience with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printingDeveloped low-power automated machines or devices, such as animatronics, vending units, or automation in food/pharmaceutical production
