Mechanical Senior Inspector

Job DescriptionTo Carry out, coordinate and arrange inspections for incoming material and equipmentPerform in-process and completion inspection on Mechanical and HVAC items and ensure adherence to related StandardsArrange final inspection with Class Surveyor and Owner representatives.Support mechanical/HVAC trades with regards to mechanical completion reports.Ensure inspection conducted in a safe manner and follow company’s HSE policies.To ensure Inspection Test Plan (ITP) is strictly followed and inspection and testing are carried out in a timely mannerCoordinate and liaise with classification societies, Ship Superintendents and/or owner representatives for quality-related issuesDaily involvement of the QA department activities, routine updating and filling of all relevant inspection records.Support mechanical/HVAC pre-commissioning and commissioning when as requiredSupport other inspections such as piping, outfitting, when as required.Job RequirementsDiploma/Degree in Mechanical engineering/Science discipline/Industrial experienceMechanical/HVAC certification holder will be an advantage.Min 3 years of Mechanical/HVAC inspector or installation or engineering experience in shipyard, oil & gas industry or related fieldFamiliar with IACS’s Classification Society RulesExperience with propulsion installation, such as shaft alignment etc.Reasonable command in English language and effective communication skillsReasonably organized and good attitude to work.
