Media Manager

Large CorporateMedia and Corporate CommunicationsIn this busy media role key responsibilities include -Develop and implement integrated external communication strategies that build and maintain reputation through various events, engagements, media and other public facing opportunitiesWork across our businesses to identify and produce compelling stories that align with our strategy and key focus areas, and maintain a forward calendar of these opportunitiesManage media relationships and develop responses to complex enquiries and issuesProvide strategic advice on emerging and/or sensitive issuesDesign, implement and coordinate media campaignsDevelop a range of complex communication and media materials across the organisation and senior stakeholders including briefings, presentations, statements, media releases, op-eds and reportsSupport the organisation spokespeople through the development of media messaging, briefing notes and act as a media spokesperson when required.Remain abreast of policies and issues that impact the organisationSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or workplace-based experience in media, PR and/or communications.Knowledge of and extensive experience working with the Australian media.Demonstrated ability to present complex business ideas, strategies, and results succinctly and persuasively at the senior executive level.Experience in a strategic communications advisory role is a must, along with superior writing, editing and compelling verbal communication skill - even on contentious topics—with confidence and sensitivity.Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively within the business and build trust and rapport with external partners.Ability to liaise with stakeholders at the highest levelFor further information please contact Fraser Clapcott at Salt & Shein on fclapcott@saltshein.com.au
