For this purpose, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a key internal expert, providing a field-based scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals to maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to Dermatology & Aesthetics. Play a key role in successfully launching Nemolizumab for treating various dermatoses and support A&C Support and facilitated field force education and training to ensure seamless implementation of medical strategies Act as the primary regional point of contact for Nemolizumab and A&C business (including internal and external medical-scientific projects, non-interventional and investigator-initiated trials - IIT) Building relationships and maintaining very close contact with medical experts and local representatives of scientific societies Collaborate with the team to implement medical-scientific strategies, focusing on developing central/key strategies for clinical studies and other projects Establish strong cross-departmental relationships, working closely with medical office/affairs staff, marketing teams, and sales teams Actively participate in congresses, staying updated with the latest findings in relevant indication areas and market trends while providing expert insights to the organizationStrategic GoalsAdvance Science and standards of care for patients and healthcare providersEnhance the scientific credibility of Galderma with established and emerging national and regional key thought / opinion leaders (KTLs/KOLs)Act as the point of contact with KTLs/KOLs to facilitate medical-scientific projects and requests (e.g. clinical studies, NIS, IITs) for support to the local and global medical teams as appropriateIdentify, develop and maintain contact with local, regional and national KTLs/KOLs and experts through internally approved field engagement plansDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with KTLs/KOLs and academic centers in the therapeutic area to ensure access to current medical and scientific information and to facilitate Galderma research and educational priorities and strategic initiativesInformation/SupportEnsure that KTLs/KOLs can access all the practical and clinically relevant information and solutions they need to use Galderma’s products efficiently and safelyInteract with, and support the needs of, Tier 1, 2 and 3 external expertsWork to communicate information and facilitate dialogue about Gladerma’s compound in development (Nemolizumab) in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner, and in full compliance with applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, Galderma’s policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practiceIndependent organization and implementation of regional advisory boardsPlan, contact and brief speakers for scientific symposiaCarry out and support sales force education and training coursesDeliver credible scientific and medical Slide kits to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as neededAttend relevant scientific meetings and conferencesSupport scientific dialogue and collaborations in the areas of research, medical and scientific exchange, including facilitation of requests for scientific and medical informationAs appropriate and needed; produce, review, and update internally approved scientific presentations for assigned therapeutic areasMaintain a high level of scientific knowledge to ensure credible dissemination of scientific information and informed scientific dialogue with KOLs/KTLsGather and generate actionable insights through: Attending congresses, engaging with external stakeholders, staying updated in relevant scientific literature, preparing summaries, and presenting key perspectives to Galderma teams including competitor analysesCooperation / CommunicationClose interdepartmental cooperation with the medical office staff and relevant marketing & sales teamsSupport internal teams such as sales and marketing to develop their scientific expertise through the delivery of scientific update presentationsWork collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independenceInterface with other key members of the affiliate medical department relevant for the therapeutic area (e.g. medical advisors)Communicate and interact with the Global and International Medical Affairs teamsServe as a point of contact within the Medical Affairs Team for KTLs/KOLs within an assigned geographic area in order to satisfy their needs for scientific knowledge in a therapeutic area and, when requested, relevant Galderma medicines, to support their safe, effective and appropriate useParticipate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified thought leaders Galderma would wish to engage in collaborative efforts – such as potential research collaborations, or educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.) while ensuring a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative effortsInternal Guidance / Legal RegulationsEnsure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, Galderma’s policies and accepted standards of best practices analyses.Support Galderma research by identifying investigators, undertaking scientific exchange and providing feedback and insight to medical and clinical teamsRespond to unsolicited requests for medical and scientific informationUtilize modern technology platforms to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and limit travel requirements. Ensure the integrity of the scientific data used in promotional claims and materials, if requestedAdhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to Code of Conduct, fleet, IT and confidentialityOther duties as assigned by management.Skills & QualificationsEducation /Experience (minimum/desirable/essential):Medical, Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in a relevant life sciences fieldDermatology/Aesthetics/Immunology-Biologics (desirable),Proven several years related medical and/or research and development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry (desirable)Experience in liaising with medical professionals and opinion leadersDemonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including to practicing clinical peers and seniors (essential)Good communication and presentation skills (essential)Meeting planning and facilitation skills and Ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platformsAbility to function in a team-oriented (matrix) environmentDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
