Medical Strategist – Medical CommunicationsThe Medical Strategist plays a key role in shaping scientific strategy and content direction across brands and therapeutic areas. Working closely with account, creative, and medical writing teams, this person ensures that all medical and scientific deliverables are strategically aligned, scientifically accurate, and engaging for target audiences such as HCPs, field teams, and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and guide scientific strategy for assigned brands and projectsTranslate complex data and clinical insights into clear, compelling strategic recommendationsCollaborate with medical writers to ensure scientific narratives support overarching brand objectivesProvide strategic input during concept development, campaign ideation, and message refinementIdentify key data, publications, and insights to inform brand positioning and communication strategiesSupport new business efforts through strategic storytelling and pitch participationLead or contribute to scientific workshops, advisory boards, and internal brand planning sessionsEnsure all materials adhere to client, legal, and regulatory standardsTypical Deliverables Supported:Peer-to-peer education materials: Speaker decks, disease state and MOA presentations, training modulesMedical affairs content: MSL slide decks, internal training guides, field toolsLaunch materials: Core claims messaging, scientific lexicon, data visualization strategyAdvisory board materials: Discussion guides, briefing books, readoutsStrategic documents: Scientific communication platforms, content frameworks, data gap analyses, message mapsPitch and new business materials: Strategic insights decks, medical strategy outlines, competitive analysesIdeal Background:Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred)4+ years of experience in medical communications or related strategic/medical rolesStrong ability to connect scientific data with brand strategyExcellent communication and presentation skillsExperience working across multiple therapeutic areas
