Mental Health Worker

Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for a Program Assistant at our Outpatient Program in Encino, CA!This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team) to deliver effective treatment.AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday, approx. hours are 9:00 am - 4:30 pmEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesGeneral Front Office duties:Answer PhonesGreetingsAnswer Client QuestionsProvide effective crisis interventionDemonstrate active listening skillsPrioritize daily tasksUtilize individualized approach to client servicesSupport team members when a crisis occursManage time effectively to carry out daily job dutiesEnsure facility is clean, safe and in compliance with Community Care Licensing requirements.Correctly follow proceduresAdminister drug and alcohol screenings on clients.Maintain knowledge of job functions within the organization.Ensure clients attend all scheduled groups, and therapy sessions.Maintain a consistent, and open channel of communication with the Program Director and Clinical Director.Pick up supplies, lunches, etc. QualificationsAt least 18 years of age.High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social workKnowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventionsExperience working with substance abuse preferredCurrently registered with either CADDE or CCAPP preferred or willing to obtain upon hire for our substance abuse programDemonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and writtenMust Have Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance and reliable transportation.BenefitsRenewal Health Group offers competitive salaries for all positions.
