Position SummaryInfinity Developments is seeking a skilled MEP Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee the design, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systemsacross our luxury hospitality and real estate projects located in Zanzibar, Tanzania.The role requires strong technical expertise in design drawings, MEP coordination, and on-site supervision, ensuring world-class quality aligned with international standards and local regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DrawingsPrepare, review, and update MEP design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.Coordinate with Consultants and review their drawingsCreate detailed HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting drawings, including equipment schedules and load calculations.Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural layouts to ensure full integration.Produce as-built drawings, technical documentation, and authority submission packages.Technical CoordinationReview MEP designs and shop drawings prepared by consultants and contractors for compliance and accuracy.Identify and resolve design clashes and discrepancies through coordination meetings.Propose value-engineering solutions to optimize performance and reduce costs without compromising quality.Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities in Zanzibar for design approvals and technical clarifications.Site Supervision & ExecutionOversee on-site MEP installations to ensure adherence to approved drawings, standards, and timelines.Conduct site inspections, verify installation quality, and monitor contractor performance.Issue site observation reports and ensure corrective measures are implemented promptly.Support the project team during testing, commissioning, and final handover stages.Procurement & Material ApprovalsReview and approve MEP material submittals and equipment specifications.Work closely with the procurement department to evaluate vendors and suppliers for MEP materials and systems.Ensure materials meet project and sustainability requirements before installation.Testing, Commissioning & HandoverSupervise testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.Prepare and close out snag lists, ensuring all systems perform as per design intent.Compile and verify O&M manuals, test reports, and as-built documentation for client handover.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP design and execution, preferably within luxury resort, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office; working knowledge of HVAC load and electrical design software is a plus.Strong understanding of international MEP standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, DEWA, etc.) and ability to adapt them to Zanzibar’s local regulations.Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
