Join us in driving change for generations to come.The Section Mine Technical Service consists of engineering competences divided in specialized teams; Mine Surveying & Geotechnology, Technical Mine Planning and System & Production Technology. Our task is to create conditions for an efficient and stable production and the work is carried out n close collaboration with other sections and departments in Aitik mining area.Work dutiesYour main responsibility is to carry out short-term mine production planning and/or waste dump planning, with the focus area changing depending on the needs of the organization. You may be assigned responsibility for specific planning horizons—such as daily, weekly, or monthly planning—and these responsibilities may also change over time as operational requirements evolve.Typical duties include preparing detailed plans for drilling, blasting, loading and hauling, monitoring daily production performance, coordinating with operations and maintenance teams, updating short-term schedules, and ensuring that production activities align with safety, operational, and budget expectations. You will work closely with operational teams to optimize material movement, resolve short-term planning issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.You will also contribute to developing work methods and supporting the implementation of new software for short-term planning. As a mine planner, you will be part of the mine planning team and will also carry out CAD tasks and other activities related to mine planning.This is a full-time permanent position based in Aitik.Education/experienceWe are looking for you who have a mining engineering education or as the company sees as equivalent. Experience in the mining industry, open pit operations, mine planning, and mine production is meritorious. Previous experience in mine planning in open pits and using Deswik or equivalent for mine design and scheduling software is an advantage. You have the ability to create high-quality mine plans and effectively communicate planning objectives.QualificationsAs a person, you are open, result oriented and communicative. You are structured, thorough and have good collaborative skills. You like to work independently as well as in a team. You want to participate in developing ways of working and optimizing production. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish (or willingness to learn) and English, both spoken and written.
