Business Applications Engineer (General Insurance)

Main ResponsibilitiesProvide support to users on the applications used in MUA’s business unitsParticipate in requirements gathering with business users and project management team for new projects or system enhancementsDo the development/coding in inhouse systemsWrite SQL scripts for ad-hoc reports/listings and build new reports and dashboards, as per the user specificationsTrain users and assist them in testing the system changesFollow up with external suppliers on enhancement requests and resolution of application logsProduce technical and user documentation for new enhancements and projectsJob RequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any equivalent qualification2 to 5 years of experience with at least two years of experience in software development and user supportCandidates should have a good knowledge of:

Software Development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Lean etc. Programming languages including VB, VB. Net, C#. Net, ASP. Net, Java, Oracle PL/SQLWeb and mobile development technologies and frameworks like PHP, JavaScript, Angular, etc. Database design on Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL etc. Business Intelligence and dashboarding tools such Power BI etc. Software packages like Microsoft Office365, Project and VisioKnowledge of Robotic Process Automation tools such as Power Automate, UIPath etc. will be a plus.
