Network Engineer (Valid Cisco Certified)

About the Role: We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Cisco Certified Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Montego Bay. This role involves designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems built on Cisco technologies.Key Responsibilities:Design, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments.Install, manage, and optimize Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.Monitor network health, performance, and security using industry-standard tools.Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve network issues promptly.Collaborate with internal teams to implement new technology solutions and address complex technical problems.Maintain strong network security practices, including firewall administration, access controls, and VPN setup.Prepare and update network documentation, diagrams, and technical reports.Participate in on-call rotations and assist during system outages, upgrades, or maintenance windows.Required Qualifications:Valid Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP, or higher).Practical experience in server hardware and parts replacement.Strong proficiency with Cisco technologies (IOS, ASA, Nexus, Meraki).Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.Excellent troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
