Network & Firewall Engineer, ADACOM CY Ltd

We are seeking a skilled Network & Firewall Engineer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise network environments. This role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and optimizing firewall systems while supporting overall network security and connectivity. You will collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a resilient network architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and manage firewall platforms, including rulebase updates, NAT, VPN, and secure remote accessPerform routine firewall maintenance, firmware updates, and assist in upgrade planningMonitor firewall health and logs; identify anomalies and escalate incidents as neededAnalyze network traffic flows to improve security posture and optimize performanceMaintain documentation for configurations, network diagrams, and change recordsSupport network segmentation and secure access strategies for hybrid environmentsParticipate in change control processes and assist with impact analysis and rollback planningStay informed on emerging threats and recommend improvements to firewall policiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in network engineering and firewall administrationStrong understanding of network architecture, routing, and firewall policy designExperience with log analysis and troubleshooting network connectivity issuesAbility to create clear documentation for configurations and changesFirewalls: Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, Check PointTools & Platforms: ServiceNow, Splunk/SIEM, Azure, AWS, Active DirectoryProtocols & Technologies: TCP/IP, IPsec, SSL VPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VLANsCompliance: GDPR, ISO 27001, Zero Trust principlesNice to HaveCertifications such as PCNSA, CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, Check Point CCSASecurity-related certifications (Security+, CISSP, or GIAC)Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and cloud security (Azure/AWS)Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible) for firewall tasksBenefitsPrivate Health InsuranceTraining & DevelopmentPerformance BonusLaptopPhone-Mobile phone
