About the RoleThe USTS Network Operations Center (NOC) team plays a critical role in supporting the deployment and operational stability of mission-critical applications and services. As a NOC Engineer, you will collaborate with internal teams to manage deployment procedures, implement code and configuration changes, and provide Tier-1 support. In the near future, the NOC team will also take on system and service monitoring responsibilities from other USTS teams.Core Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal teams to deploy software and configuration changes to servers with minimal service disruption.Apply application and server configuration updates to meet evolving business requirements.Provide operational support for a suite of production systems and cloud-based services.Proactively monitor system health and performance, respond to incidents and alerts, and communicate resolutions to stakeholders.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including night shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime.Deliver Tier-1 support for mission-critical production services.Create and maintain documentation for daily operations to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.Ensure continuous and efficient operation and maintenance of production systems.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (mandatory).Proven experience in server and application support.Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration (preferred).Familiarity with ticketing/documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence (preferred).Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Experience with infrastructure deployment and maintenance using automation tools.Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments.Knowledge of Docker/container technologies and microservices architecture.Experience with cloud platforms and supporting cloud-based services.Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.Nice to HaveExperience with incident review processes and root cause analysis.Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana or similar solutions.Experience automating routine operational tasks.Exposure to microservices environments.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement monitoring solutions.Basic knowledge of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSH).Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
