Network System Engineer (Algosec)

ResponsibilitiesOperate, configure, and maintain the Algosec Suite (FireFlow, AppViz, AFA) to ensure system stability and efficiency.Manage and optimize firewall rules across multiple platforms in alignment with network security policies and standards.Support the design, review, and enhancement of firewall and network security management processes.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including designs, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Level 3 support for firewall rules management, resolving complex incidents and problems.Participate in infrastructure and business projects, delivering secure and compliant network solutions.Contribute to vulnerability management by conducting assessments, validations, and product upgrades.Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing network and firewall management workflows through APIs and integrations.Support configuration management, performance monitoring, and infrastructure health checks.Collaborate closely with the Algosec Technical Owner and act as their technical backup when required.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).Proven hands-on experience in network security operations and firewall rule management in an enterprise environment.In-depth knowledge of Algosec solutions (FireFlow, AppViz, and AFA) including setup, configuration, and maintenance.Strong understanding of network and security technologies, including:Firewalls: Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, FortinetNetwork Segmentation, Access Control, and Security ZonesPolicy risk analysis and compliance reportingExperience with automation tools and API-based integrations in network management systems.Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and security compliance frameworks.
