Legal and Institutional Framework Expert – Raw Materials SectorLocation: EuropeDuration: Short- to medium-termEstimated Workload: Short-term assignments / task-based consultancyAbout the Opportunity: We are creating a pool of Legal and Institutional Framework Experts – Raw Materials Sector for a new FWC Contract: EC-SG REFORM/2025/OP/0001: Provision of consultancy services to support the design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of structural reforms in EU Member State. Experts in this pool will be contacted for specific assignments as they arise. If you have relevant experience we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: Review existing legal frameworks related to critical raw materials production, import, and recycling.
Propose updates and institutional reforms to align with CRMA objectives. Draft recommendations for enhancing legislative coherence and administrative coordination. Provide capacity-building support to government bodies on CRM-related legal requirements. Qualifications: Law degree or equivalent legal background with a focus on energy, environment, or industrial law. 8+ years of experience working with regulatory or legislative reform projects. Demonstrated knowledge of EU industrial, mining, or circular economy law. Experience liaising with ministries, legal departments, and EU institutions.
