POSITION: Officer Asset ProtectionLOCATION: Gold Fields JOB GRADING: C LowerRole DetailsThe Gold Fields Protection Security Officer’s role supports the Asset Protection Superintendent within the Gold Fields corporate office in ensuring the safety and protection of employees, contractors, visitors, information and company assets from harm, theft or damage, while maintaining a safe and secure environment.Key responsibilities include:Supervise outsourced security personnel (Bidvest Protea Coin) to ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to site security standardsMonitor and maintain the effective operation of access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and ensure all equipment is inspected and serviced monthlyOversee daily CCTV monitoring and conduct regular reviews to identify and address potential risks or irregularitiesImplement and enforce access control procedures for employees, business partners, and visitors, ensuring compliance with approved security policiesIdentify, investigate, and report security breaches, irregular activities, or suspicious behaviour within the premisesEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, company security procedures, and legal requirementsEscort and monitor all workmen and contractors inside the building to ensure controlled access to restricted areasProvide support and assistance to employees, business partners, and visitors, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approachMonitor all access points to maintain a secure corporate environment and prevent unauthorized entryManage the issuing and activation of access cards for employees, visitors, and approved business partners through the X-Time systemEnsure that all offices and the building are fully secured before end of shift or upon leaving the premisesParticipate actively in fire drills, emergency response procedures, and crisis management activitiesContribute to the organisation’s Health & Safety structures and support compliance initiativesKey factors to your success include:Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification and be fully registered with PSIRA at the required levelHave a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory security role, preferably within a corporate office environmentBe proficient in operating and overseeing CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and incident reporting toolsDemonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm under pressureCommunicate professionally and work effectively with employees, business partners, visitors, and outsourced security teamsBe declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health CentreBe declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health CentreClosing Date for Applications: 02 December 2025Applications can be submitted via SuccessFactors
