Job DescriptionRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Wood is currently sourcing for a Offshore Structural Integrity & Inspection Lead to join our client team in Equatorial Guinea. This role is part of the Asset Integrity Department and is responsible for coordinating offshore asset with structural integrity/inspection activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. To provide support for executing NDE activities, inspection database updates and recordkeeping, corrosion control and monitoring, non-destructive examination techniques, new project Quality Control (QC), and other Asset Integrity department activities including providing necessary leadership and coaching to the offshore NDE technicians reporting within the Asset Integrity group.Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and direct the activities of offshore NDE personnel, ensuring all due routine PMs inspections are properly planned completed in compliance with established policies/procedures and the corresponding inspection recordsServes as structural integrity and inspection lead and exercise authority in assigning daily tasks to NDE techniciansReview and approve inspection reports and the concomitant recommendationsReview the daily, weekly and 28-day look ahead plans with offshore planning team and NDE Data SpecialistWill be accountable for work performed by the NDE techniciansAssists with maintaining accurate and up to date NDE data in the Visions/PCMS databaseMaintain offshore fixed equipment anomalies/defects registerUpdate offshore inspection KPIs related to fixed equipmentProvide the Asset Integrity department with technical support as required regarding platforms structural integrity and fixed equipment fitness for service evaluations, corrosion mitigation, NDE inspections requirement (UT, PT, MPI, RT), and other code inspection issuesDevelop inspection planning for major interventions, equipment modifications and new project installationsParticipates in root cause analysis when required, analyzes fixed equipment failures and prepares and issues reports identifying root cause of failure and actions to prevent future failuresCarry out regular offshore visits to ensure inspection and repair scopes are performed in accordance with relevant MEGPL and industry standards Support the construction team in defining the scope, planning, and execution of offshore fabric components repair campaigns, ensuring that offshore structural defects are given appropriate priorityProvides input on incident investigations, HAZOPS/HAZIDS, PHA, progress any actions from incident investigation and ensures these are closed in accordance with requirements Facilitate good communication between planning groups onshore and offshore and the Asset Integrity team.Accepts accountability for own personal safety as well as the safety of othersSupports the Maintenance Department’s ongoing safety commitment to ensure a safe workplace for all through active participation in Safety meetings, Toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis, Hazard and Operability reviews and in the company’s BBS Reporting programAdditional or other duties will be assigned from time to time by the line manager or supervisor as required to meet business needs including personal training and development assignment opportunitiesYour Job Description will be reviewed periodically to meet the needs of the business.NDT And Other Inspection Tools And EquipmentHand tools (Hammer, Scraper, Buffer, etc.)Mechanical test equipmentHand-held NDT equipment (UT Equipment, Infrared Camera, Digital Camera, Straight Edge, Calipers, Pit Gauge, Boro-scope, etc.)Various dye penetrant and magnetic particle kits and chemicalsFall Protection Equipment (Harness, Lanyard, Yo-Yo, etc.)Fresh Air Equipment (SCBA, Respirator, etc.)QualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMechanical Engineering - Bachelor degree requiredAPI 510 – In service Inspection, Re rating, Repairs and Alteration of pressure vesselsAPI 570 - In service Inspection, Re rating, Repairs and Alteration of piping systemsAPI 653 – Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration and ReconstructionLevel II certifications on the most widely used NDE methods including but not limited to UT, MPI, VT, RT, PT, IR, etc.Leadership and project management skillsCWI is preferred but at minimum, must have general understanding of welding activities including basic welding methods (TIG, SMAW, etc.), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) and Welders Qualification Record as they apply to different weldments. 10+ years in the field of and structural integrity management of offshore platforms and inspection of pressure vessels, tanks and piping MS Office Suite - requiredVisions or PCMS – required SAP S4 Hanna – Required OpenTextMS Project and related software preferredRead, speak and comprehend the English languageNetworking and communication skills externally and internally Able to work proactively and independently with minimum guidanceDetailed knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination’s regulatory requirements, technical codes/ standards/ guidelines and can leverage new technologies in integrity managementProven experience in structural integrity management in aging offshore infrastructuresExperience with routine repairs of fabric components offshore Application of engineering judgement in structural and inspection management Proven experience in risk-based assessment (RBI) in prioritizing offshore inspection activities Experience in safety critical (SECE) inspection deferrals Safety and environmental stewardship – understand offshore safety standards and regulationsMust be able to understand PFD, PID, GA, U1A, and piping isometric drawings as they apply to fixed equipment offshore production environment and have a basic understanding of the processes involved.About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
