An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an Operations Manager - Upper South Island to join the Downer telco team. The opportunity The principal purpose of the Operations Manager - Upper South Island role is to provide effective regional leadership of our people ensuring a highly motivated and productive project and field leadership team consistently delivering against our customer commitments. The Operations Manager high level accountabilities are as follows: What you'll do Manage the overall Upper South Island Region budget and program of works for all clients. Ensuring the workforce is right sized, skilled and competent to support the forecasted volume of works and all staff are utilised effectively Ensure all program of works in the region are on schedule and in accordance with contractual obligations. This includes commercial strict adherence to contractual clauses and all opportunities for variations are monitored and submitted as required to ensure relief is obtained (when required). Works with leadership teams and key stakeholders to develop key client and delivery strategies and service offerings for your region Plan and implement capability development region wide to ensure resources meet forecast demand inclusive of new business activity. Develop contingencies for fluctuating volumes that support client billing models.
