Shine Iron Ore Mine: This mine commenced production in 2024 and is expected to produce around 1.2 MtpaWhat’s on Offer:Location: Geraldton, WA Permanent Full-time role - enjoy job security with full employee entitlements.Reporting to the General Manager Road Logistics - Work with a dynamic and value driven business leadership teamGenerous Remuneration Package including incentive bonus’ and company vehicleRelocation Assistance offered for the right candidateState-of-the-Art Depot Wellness Hub – featuring massage chairs, infrared sauna, hyperbaric chamber, Carol bike, yoga room, and more to come.The Operations Manager (Road Logistics) which is based in Geraldton, is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Newhaul’s Transport Operations division, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of product from pit to port. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance frontline delivery with long-term planning, optimise systems and processes, and coach and develop a team of supervisors.Working in close partnership with key stakeholders across the Roads Division and beyond, this role plays a pivotal part in delivering operational excellence, achieving service and tonnage targets, and maintaining Newhaul’s strong commitment to safety and compliance.The Role in ActionLeadership & People Management – Recruit, lead, and develop Superintendents and Supervisors across multiple sites, setting clear KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Operational Execution – Oversee daily transport operations to ensure safe, timely delivery, while driving planning and scheduling to optimise resources and efficiency.Strategic Planning & Optimisation – Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across labour, fuel, fleet, and loaders, while supporting digitisation and automation aligned with business goals.Safety & Compliance – Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS and transport regulations (including WAHVA), leading incident investigations, and enforcing safety protocols.Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring contractual obligations are met and exceeded, while partnering with the People Team on workforce attraction.What you’ll BringLeadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor diverse operational teams across multiple sites.Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with ability to align day-to-day operations with long-term goals.Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of transport operations and logistics, with ability to optimise planning and resourcing.Safety Focus: Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management frameworks.Communication: Clear, concise, and confident communication with all stakeholders.
