Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.As a Bench Operator you’ll set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremel's, drills, presses, pedestal grinders and belt grinders, low temperature ovens and hand grinders to perform various operations such as blending, blasting & stripping, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking.What You’ll DoConduct airfoil blending on a variety of Turbine Engine Blades utilizing a belt sander and pedestal grinders, using the correct blending materials and techniques to restore the correct profile and contour of the Turbine Engine Blades per the Engine Manuals.Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence.Ensure that all test equipment or tools used to make airworthiness determinations is labeled in accordance with the RSQM before use.Complete the appropriate paperwork.Complete all maintenance or alteration processes IAW established standard work processes.Support cell personnel with the performance and appropriate documentation of maintenance or alterations performed.Confirm quality of work performed through routine in-process checks.Track and communicate status of assigned work orders to ensure on time delivery is met.Cover for absent team members to avoid interrupting the flow.
