Global Finance Services (GFS) is at the heart of the Finance function - accountable to the AstraZeneca (AZ) Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes that enable our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.About the DepartmentOur Purchase to Pay (P2P) team within GFS is responsible handles the end to end acquiring goods and services ensuring that the associated payments made to our suppliers, this includes overseeing the procurement process management, invoice processing, payment processing, suppliers’ relationship management, reimbursing expenses to employees, and ensuring all the procurement activities align with internal policies and compliance.Key Responsibilities: Support P2P Operations Project Manager to drive continuous improvement and simplification applying a digitalization and automation mindset alongside knowledge in process improvement methodologies (i.e., LEAN) Seek to understand and explore the processes to look for improvement opportunities, both quantitative and qualitative, to improve standardisation and simplification. Lead and execute project management activities for KL P2P and T&E continuous improvement and project which included develop change impact assessment and project plan, tracking key Risks, Actions, Incidences and Dependencies (RAID), monitor project progress and closeout project summarizing achievements & improvements.To be the Subject Matter Expert and liaison for continuous improvement initiatives and projects, ensure the implementation is successful in the KL P2P and T&E team.Support P2P Operations Project Manager to drive development and changes in systems and process improvement initiatives. This includes updated process documentation. Provide training to KL P2P and T&E team to ensure projects are implemented effectively. Work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure projects are implemented effectively. Be the escalation point of issue related to continuous improvement initiatives and projects for KL P2P and T&E team.Support P2P Operations Project Managers in operating the KL P2P and T&E team Project Management office including maintaining project documentations, provide administrative support, assist in data analysis, and ensure effective communications within the team. Support P2P Operations Project Manager to review and revise practices to ensure their compliance with established statutory requirements, policies, and procedures.Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, or an equivalent professional qualification.Relevant project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.Communication: Able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).Interpersonal: Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.Digital and automation: Hands-on experience with Python, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, VBA, and related automation/data analysis platforms.Problem solving: Inquisitive, investigative, with critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.Tools and systems: Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, and SAP or other ERP systems.At least 2 years in accounts payable processes or finance roles.Demonstrated experience in leading projects.Working experience in a shared service centre within a global/large organization is an added advantage.May need to work globally across time zones and cultures.Knowledge and experience in Coupa and China S2P operations would be an added advantage.Willing to work on a short-term contract of up to 12 months.At AstraZeneca we’re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
