Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Specialist to join our Finance team in Bangladesh.
This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in fintech or financial services, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records, including Cash Book, Bank Book, and Party LedgerGenerate and review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsAssist in preparing Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement on a monthly basisVerify and process payroll components (salary, overtime, bonuses, allowances) for accuracyReconcile bank statements and manage daily cash disbursementsReview vouchers, expenditures, and bills to ensure compliance with company guidelinesPrepare and make bank deposits, and reconcile transportation or vendor billsEnsure proper TDS & VDS deductions in all payments as per Bangladesh regulationsSupport internal and external audits by providing accurate documentationAssist in budgeting and forecasting activitiesCommunicate daily with PalmPay’s global finance team to ensure accurate reportingEnsure compliance with accounting standards, local tax laws, and company policiesPerform any other finance-related tasks assigned by managementRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, BBA, or CommercePartly qualified CA.
CC (Chartered Accountancy) will be given preference3–5 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in fintech, banking, MFS, or audit firmsProficiency in accounting software (e. g.
