Job DescriptionThe Paralegal supports the Legal department of the International Office (IO) by performing a range of legal and administrative tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting research and analysis, managing legal files, and coordinating with external parties such as law firms and government entities. This role ensures the smooth functioning of legal and compliance processes, contributes to maintaining adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and provides operational support through various administrative activities essential to efficient legal operations.ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing and minor drafting of contracts, offer letters, MOUs, and NDAs. Perform due diligence, legal searches, and obtain good standing certifications. Prepare and file legal and administrative reports. Draft correspondence for external bodies (e.g., notary office, MOFA, embassies). Arrange notarization and attestations with MOFA or embassies. Support preparation of legal presentations and summaries for IO projects. Assist in developing training materials for legal policies and procedures. Administer subsidiary corporate governance activities. Conduct basic legal research and sanctions checks. Support IO Finance with legal billing processes. Provide general administrative support to the IO Legal department. Maintain and update IO Legal databases. Share legal updates with the corporate finance team. Manage engagement letters with external legal counsel. Liaise internally to finalize commercial terms in contracts and legal documents under IO Legal guidance. People Management Responsibilities: N/A Strategic Responsibilities: N/A Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, ideally in law; Master's degree is a plus. High level of proficiency in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an asset. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation. Experience with contract management and legal research tools. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Legal software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Strong ethical judgement, with a commitment to upholding professional standards in accordance with the law.
