Job Description
Lowell School is seeking a dynamic Cello Instructor to work with students in grades 2-8, starting in September. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and skilled in playing and teaching cello. This position, which begins in September, works closely with the Director of After-School Music. We anticipate it starting with one day per week.Qualifications1-2+ years of music teaching experience Positive and friendly attitudePassion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic successBelief in the value of enrichment education for all childrenMajor ResponsibilitiesSelecting an age-appropriate repertoirePreparing students for performancesCreate dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired.Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all studentsMaintain complete and accurate records for attendanceDevelop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.Candidates interested in applying should email their resume to Gwen Mazorow, Director of After-School Music, at gmazorow@lowellschool.org.
