Part-Time Communications AssociateMockingbird Analytics is a growing, intersectional, women-led, progressive nonprofit management agency located in Los Angeles, California. Mockingbird Analytics is on a mission to help nonprofit organizations tell their story. Founded in 2015, Mockingbird Analytics provides management and development services for nonprofits. We help local and national nonprofits, social good organizations, and startup 501c3s build infrastructure and tell their stories. Mockingbird Analytics is seeking an in-house Communications Associate to join our team of experts in a part-time capacity with the flexibility to grow into a full-time role. Outreach and Relationship DevelopmentAssists teams in research for appropriate proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.Enters and monitors data to track the effectiveness of communication effortsDeveloping and monitoring project work plans and budgetsBuilding client and partners relationship leads, including email and communications, and attending in-person networking and eventsCommunications and Social Media StrategyDevelop, implement, and manage communications and marketing material developmentDevelop and implement outreach events for MockingbirdDesign and copywriting to ensure content is informative and appealing for clients Create, manage, and oversee social media content for Mockingbird AnalyticsWrite blog content for Mockingbird Analytics Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologiesUtilize Mailchimp for email marketingCommunications Associate Qualifications/Skills:A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in communicationsPrevious experience with nonprofits and consultingProposal writing experience is highly desirable, or a willingness to learn.Experience working in diverse communities and across social, economic, and cultural differences strongly preferred.Exceptional writing skills: Consultants must have the ability to present complex concepts, findings, and recommendations in succinct, salient, and readable reports and memos, ability to write for a variety of audiences, including major foundations, individual donors, general audiences, and nonprofit professionals.Strong client sales and relationship-building skillsExcellent interpersonal skills: Ability to work well both as a member of a team and independentlyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-starter: Ability to manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, delegate work efficiently, and take direction from multiple project managersStrong capacity to be self-reflective, commitment to personal and professional growth; Intellectual curiosity, creativity, strong desire, and capacity for diversity in professional challengesIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and G-SuiteApplicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to applySalary: Commensurate with experience, starting rate is $35 per hour, for a minimum of 20 hours per week,  includes 50% benefits package with employer-sponsored health plan with dental and vision, 401k with employer match, paid holidays, and vacations.To Apply:  Please submit a resume, cover letter, and writing samples to info@mockingbirdanalytics.com.
