Job SummaryThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll in compliance with company policies, government regulations, and statutory requirements. This role manages end-to-end payroll processes, maintains payroll records, reconciles payroll data, and provides support to employees on payroll-related inquiries. The Payroll Specialist works closely with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll ProcessingProcess payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, benefits, and government contributions.Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.Data Management & ReconciliationMaintain accurate and updated payroll records in HRIS/Payroll systems.Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.Prepare payroll reports for management review and statutory submissions.Compliance & ReportingEnsure adherence to company policies and labor laws regarding wages and benefits.Prepare and file government reports such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and tax filings (or local equivalents).Support audits by providing accurate payroll data and documentation.Employee SupportRespond to employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, and other payroll concerns.Provide clear and timely communication on payroll policies and updates.Continuous ImprovementRecommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.Stay updated with changes in payroll regulations and labor laws.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.2–4 years of payroll experience, preferably in a shared services, HR, or finance environment.Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory benefits, and local labor laws.Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel; experience with HRIS or ERP systems is an advantage.High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
