Job SummaryThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in Egypt, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax laws. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, precision, and a deep understanding of the specific payroll complexities within the Egyptian market and the pharmaceutical industry.Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Payroll Processing:Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle for all employees, including base pay, bonuses, incentives, commissions, and overtime.Accurately calculate deductions for social insurance, tax, and other authorized withholdings.Process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, promotions, and leaves of absence in the payroll system.Handle the calculation of final settlements for resigned employees in accordance with Egyptian Labor Law.2. Compliance & Legal Administration:Ensure 100% compliance with all Egyptian payroll legislations, including but not limited to:Social Insurance Law (Law No. 148 of 2019).Income Tax Law (Law No. 91 of 2005).Prepare and submit monthly and annual declarations to the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) and the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI).Maintain and update employee files with all required legal documents (e.g., national ID, birth certificate, military status, etc.).Stay abreast of changes in Egyptian labor, social insurance, and tax laws and implement necessary changes to the payroll process.3. Reporting & Reconciliation:Prepare detailed payroll reports for management, including payroll summaries, cost allocations, and headcount reports.Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts monthly and work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.Generate ad-hoc reports for HR and Finance as required for budgeting, auditing, and analysis.4. Benefits & Incentives Administration:Administer and accurately process payroll-related benefits, such as medical insurance contributions, provident funds, and company bonuses.Coordinate with the sales and marketing departments to accurately calculate and process sales incentives and commissions.5. System & Process Improvement:Utilize the company's HRIS/Payroll software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or local systems) efficiently.Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function.Act as a point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees, resolving issues promptly and professionally.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, specifically within Egypt. Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) or the pharmaceutical/FMCG industry is a significant plus.Certifications: A payroll certification is advantageous or HR DiplomaTechnical Skills & KnowledgeIn-depth Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of Egyptian payroll, social insurance, and income tax laws and procedures.System Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience with HRIS/Payroll software.Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
