This role is pivotal in driving employee engagement, fostering a Marimekko work culture, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. This position is based in Helsinki, Finland and reports to the Chief People Officer. Responsibilities & tasks:As a People Business Partner youproactively consult and coach line management, offering solutions and alternatives on a range of topicsoversee employee lifecycle tasks and responsibilities within your designated responsibility areamanage and resolve complex employee relations matters, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as requiredindependently manage employee relations and negotiations with employee representativesmaintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to the day-to-day management of employeescollaborate closely with managers and employees to enhance workplace relationships and drive productivity and retentionprovide guidance and input on functional restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planningidentify competence development needsmaintain job grades and job architectureanalyze trends and metrics in partnership with People & Culture team members to develop solutions, programs, and policies, or participate in related projectsYou are also responsible in close collaboration with the Communications teamfor HR corporate reporting (e.g. sustainability reporting such as CSRD and Annual Report) for internal HR communications You also have a possibility to lead occasional development projects.Required skills/abilities:Strong verbal and written communication in Finnish and EnglishEffective interpersonal skills: proactive in fast-paced settingsAble to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies independentlyExcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesSolid analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong business acumenAdaptable and confidentExperience:Extensive experience as an People Business Partner, preferably in an international business environmentDemonstrated expertise in resolving employee relations matters independentlyBackground in HR communications, with excellence in both written and oral communicationQualifications That Are Good To HavePrevious experience of a business unit or country leadership teamExperience with CSRD or other forms of sustainability reportingWhy you will enjoy working at MarimekkoOpportunity to play an influential role in shaping our people practisesOur inclusive, collaborative, and value-driven organizational cultureBeing part of our ongoing international growth journeyBeing part of our mission to bring color and joy into lives and homes everywhere and encourage people to be happy as they areIf you are passionate about shaping people strategies and driving organizational success, join us as a People Business Partner.
