As our People and Culture Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our organisation’s HR and Health & Safety functions. In this dynamic role, you’ll be the go-to person for all things people and culture — from employee relations and recruitment to policy development and compliance.You'll also take the lead on WHS matters, supporting a safe, supportive, and compliant work environment for all. Working closely with managers and employees, you'll help shape a workplace where people feel valued, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert employee relations support by acting as the first point of contact for employee enquiries, concerns and grievances, and confidently resolving workplace conflicts and disciplinary matters.Coach and support managers in managing employee performance issues, including conducting training on goal setting, performance reviews and performance management processes.Assist in managing the performance development process, ensuring timely and effective completion of quarterly and annual reviews in partnership with the People & Culture Business Partner.Develop, communicate and ensure compliance with HR policies, staying up to date with legislative changes and implementing necessary updates across the organisation.Lead recruitment and onboarding activities by participating in selection processes, interviewing candidates when required, and coordinating comprehensive new starter inductions.Support and drive key HR initiatives and programs, including employee engagement surveys, talent management, diversity and inclusion projects, and sustainability efforts.Manage and maintain accurate HR data and records in the HR Information System (HRIS), preparing regular reports and ensuring confidentiality and compliance.Oversee Work Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilities alongside the QA Systems Manager, ensuring all legal obligations are met, WHS policies are current, training requirements are fulfilled, and the organisation is prepared for audits.Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by organising employee recognition activities such as quarterly birthday and work anniversary celebrations.What We're Looking For:Minimum 2 years’ experience in a People and Culture or HR advisory role.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Admin, or similar.Strong relationship-building skills with a proactive and approachable style.Solid knowledge of HR and WHS legislation, with a focus on compliance.Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and WHS legislation.Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR data management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.Proven ability to resolve conflicts and manage complex employee matters.Experience supporting blue-collar workers and understanding their workplace needs.A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.A commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture.What’s on Offer:Competitive salary and employee benefitsA development-focused role with opportunities to learn and growSupportive team culture that values inclusion, collaboration and innovationOpportunities to take on new challenges and expand your skillsPotential for global mobility and exposure to international HR practicesA dynamic, purpose-driven workplace where your contribution truly mattersAbout the company:Schréder is a leading provider of global lighting solutions, serving customers across the commercial, industrial and public sectors.
