We are looking for a People & Culture Specialist, Programs and Policy to partner with stakeholders to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement enterprise-wide People & Culture programs that support employee effectiveness and promote organizational culture and goals.Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture Program Integration, in this temporary role you'll build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the organization, partnering closely with People & Culture teams, Employee Experience, Communications and Marketing, Business Advisory Services, and other key stakeholders to effectively integrate People and Culture programs throughout the organization.You'll utilize your critical thinking, change management, project management, consultation, facilitation, and program design and evaluation skills to initiate, maintain, and administer new and existing programs including ethics, policy development, performance management, new employee onboarding, and employee culture initiatives.How you'll make a difference: You'll build and empower teams that serve workers and employers across B.C.This is a temporary role for 12 months.Where you'll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.Participate in the planning, development, execution, and delivery of People & Culture projects and programs that support employees through the full employee lifecycleDevelop and maintain People & Culture policies, procedures, guidelines, programs, processes, and systemsConduct research and prepare strategic analysis and detailed written reports to present information and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholdersMaintain the corporate ethics program, including analyzing and responding to conflict-of-interest disclosures, ethics issues, and developing training and other job aids and resources to support our ethical and respectful workplaceDevelop and facilitate presentations and discussions with various stakeholder groupsConsistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.Is this a good fit for you?We're Looking For Someone Who CanWork independently while fostering highly collaborative, influential relationships with all internal and external stakeholdersQuickly integrate large amounts of information to apply in building and maintaining our programs and processesApply critical thinking skills to assess information and then determine the appropriate course of actionProvide work direction, guidance, and mentoring to other members of the People & Culture Program Integration teamEffectively balance competing and changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude and strong service-orientationWrite for impact and effectively disseminate information to various audiences with an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and stakeholder experience lensFacilitate presentations and discussions with various stakeholder groupsYour background and experienceA degree in human resources or related disciplineA minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, including a minimum of 3 years of experience within program management and developmentWe'll consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.Important to knowBefore we can finalize any offer of employment, you must:Confirm you're legally entitled to work in CanadaWho we areAt WorkSafeBC, we promote safe and healthy workplaces across British Columbia.
