Working for SESLHD Pharmacy Services means means joining a friendly, collaborative team that will support your professional growth and welcome your ideas and input.What You'll Be DoingWe have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to join our team at St George Hospital Pharmacy.This position is a permanent full time position. You'll be part of a team facilitating the provision and further development of the pharmacy service to patients and clients of the organisation, including undertaking advanced practice roles to enable the pharmacists to focus on clinical pharmacy services. You will be part of an integral team, assisting in different operational areas such as dispensary, outpatients, stores and cancer care center.Whilst full time is preferred, part time and job share arrangements may be considered for appropriate candidatesBenefitsUp to 12 allocated days off each year (for full-time employees) in addition to annual leave.Salary packaging options that reduce your taxable income and increase your take-home pay! Up to $9K for living expenses and $2.6K meal & entertainment & Novated Leasing.Discounted gym memberships with a Fitness PassportEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and family members.Discounted Private Health Insurance.Selection CriteriaRecognised qualifications in the field or qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent (as per award) will enable appointment as a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 or as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 or 2.Demonstrated understanding and experience of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals in a hospital or community pharmacy setting or equivalent experience.Ability to perform mathematical calculations.Experience with information technology and familiarity with the use of pharmacy software eg iPharmacy system.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to understand and adhere to all legislative requirements.Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks.Ability to work as part of a team.
