Job Description

PipeCare Group is looking for an experienced Spares Supply Manager to join our team. By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping our customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years. Industry/sector: Oil & Gas / In Line Inspection services. Spares Supply Manager is responsible for leading the spares supply management function, ensuring the timely and efficient supply of spares to support operations.

This role involves developing and implementing effective spares supply management strategies, managing inventory levels, and optimizing procurement and sourcing processes.

Key Responsibilities & AuthoritiesDevelop and Implement Spares Supply Management StrategiesAnalyze demand patterns and forecast future demand to optimize inventory levelsDevelop and implement effective spares supply management strategies to ensure the timely and efficient supply of sparesImplement inventory management best practices, such as just-in-time (JIT) inventory management and lean inventory managementDevelop and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and efficient supply of sparesCollaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of sparesDevelop and implement effective parts management strategies to ensure timely and efficient supply of mechanical and electronics spare parts.

Lead and manage a team of parts coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective parts management. Develop and implement performance metrics and benchmarks to measure team performanceDevelop and manage budgets for parts procurement, ensuring cost-effective solutions and minimizing waste. Analyze and report on budget variances and implement corrective actions as neededIdentify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize parts management processesDevelop and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfactionMaintain and report the spares inventory:

Avoid shortagesControl the usage of spares for every runReport planned usage monthlyAim at 100% Spares availabilityCoordinate with Tool Management to arrange proper shipping of all spares to and from commercial project sites, between Territory and Corporate TM as well as from suppliersForecast, budget and purchase (or return spares to Inventory) from the market for the coming year.

This forecast shall also reflect the parts which can be produced in house with LIN SCAN productionSkills/ExperienceMinimum of Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/Technology, OR related fieldsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical production related role, ideally in the Oil & Gas IndustryStrong command of English, knowledge of other languages is plusExcellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issuesEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholdersPhysical and Mental Requirements:

Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 poundsMobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwellsCommunication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectivelyFocus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectivelySafety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
