Job Description

Job SummaryThe ACAA's Operations Supervisor - AGC will report to the General Aviation Duty Manager ensures that the conditions and safety of the airport is maintained in compliance and preparedness with local operational standards and regulations established by the Federal Government. Here is how the Operations Supervisor - AGC will help:

Conduct runway, taxiway, ramp and perimeter inspections with regard to maintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly operation in compliance with existing regulations Monitor weather conditions and forecasts, take all precautionary measures necessary to prevent dangerous or hazardous conditions that may prevail during inclement weather events Coordinate the dissemination of notice to airmen (NOTAMs) and field condition reports (FICONs) via the FAA NOTAM Manager Assist in supervising airfield activities and ensure compliance with airport and federal regulations Coordinate with FAA Air Traffic Control any activities affecting the air operations area Respond to on-site emergencies and implement emergency/disaster procedures to minimize risk and damage Maintain direct contact with upper-level management in the event of emergencies, unusual situations, or serious events that may occur requiring guidance or assistance Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of the airport facility and report any issues to management Determine the need for closure/opening of the airfield or portion thereof for routine maintenance, snow removal operations, emergencies, and other operational needs Provide periodic fee collection and utility meter reports to the Finance Department Administer the airport access control and credentialing program Monitor vehicle/pedestrian gate activity through closed-circuit television (CCTV) system Report, document, and/or resolve problems or incidents on airport property Maintain a daily log of events and inspection reports for your assigned shift Performs other related tasks as assigned or requiredThe successful candidate for the role of Operations Supervisor -AGC will demonstrate the following key competencies needed in our culture:

Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university in Aviation Management or related field; or Associate's degree and Two-Three (2-3) years related experience Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver's license. Note: License must be maintained throughout employmentWe also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:

Working knowledge of FAA FAR Parts 139 and 77 Extensive working knowledge of FAA airfield radio procedures Skill in the simultaneous use of several radio frequencies sufficient to be able to provide and receive information from airport, FAA, and other personnel Knowledge of snow removal and ice control operations Skill in prioritizing and coordinating simultaneous activities to ensure effective and efficient completion of the work assignment Ability to solve practical problems and deal with numerous variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Considerable ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively, and to determine a p oper course of action during emergencies Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, representatives of other agencies, airport tenants and the general public Ability to utilize digital tools and Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

**CONDITIONS**Exposure to general office noise as well as sounds associated with equipment and radio alarms. Exposure to lights, noise, Aviation fuels and chemicals associated with aircraft, heavy equipment, snow and ice control. Works both inside and outside regardless of weather conditions. Regularly works near moving mechanical parts as well as aircraft. This position is assigned rotating shifts based on a 24-hour, 7 days a week work schedule, including holidays and may at times be the only management staff on the premises.

Operations supervisors are subject to remain on duty beyond the scheduled shift and/or are required to report to work as needed for operational necessity. This position may be assigned on-call status on an intermittent or regularly scheduled basis.
