Purpose of the jobThe purpose of the FMCG planner is to manage the merchandise plans in line with merchandise strategy , create supplier forecasts , plan and control stock to achieve maximum sales and profit targets.Key ResponsibilitiesIn-season performance management of stockAnalysis of performance data and develop pre-season plansManage in-season Plans and the adjustment thereof as requiredSales and Stock planning and promotional plansProduct Management (Monitor, analyze and make recommendations of product life cycles)Supply Chain and management and DC integrationStore support and visitsAd hoc projectsJob Incumbent RequirementsCommercial or Statistical degree or diplomaPlanning experience within a FMCG environment will be advantageousComputer Literacy (MS Office) as well as experience in planning tools, i.e. Arthur/EP3-5 years of retail planning experienceCompetencies Required: Problem assessment; decision making; detail orientation; planning, organizing, and control; business acumen; stress tolerance; relationship building and confidenceGood communication skills and a team player that can cope in a dynamic environment
