Plant Operative Belfast

Reporting to the Site Supervisor /Assistance supervisor, you will play a key role within the Operations department and assist in ensuring the smooth flow of cylinder production through the filling house to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner.You will be trained to complete all cylinder production activities including cylinder filling and pre / post quality checks.Duties will include:Adhering to all relevant work instructions and site polices at all times Report all incidents, near misses and safety concernsComplete the safe loading and unloading of cylinders from pallets and trailersIdentify and segregate non Calor cylinders from the production process External inspection of cylinders prior to fillingSegregation and safe storage of cylinders failing inspectionFilling of all cylinder types and sizes as requiredCheck weigh and thoroughly inspect all cylinders as requiredTop up and de-gas cylinders as requiredCarry out quality checks throughout the production process as requiredReport any quality issues to the filling plant supervisor Report all incidents, near misses and safety concernsComplete general housekeeping duties to ensure workplace is kept clean and tidyComplete work station training for new operatives as requiredAssist maintenance team with non-technical duties as requiredEmbrace and support change through continuous improvements RequirementsExperience:Experience of working in a production environment is desiredClear understanding of health and safety in the workplaceManual handling experience
